Prints
These prints in both black & white and colour use a “hatching” technique that is reminiscent of the pre-photography era. Hatching is a technique used by engravers and other artists, using line to indicate texture, value, shading, modeling and the illusion of form and light.
They are inspired by the work of Thomas Bewick (1753 – 1828) whose art is considered the pinnacle of wood engraving.
